Thank you, 4th Grade Team Greetings from the Music Room!
I am excited to announce that Campus School will have a few 4th grade students chosen to represent Campus School at Choirfest on November 1st, 2020 at St. John's Episcopal Church. This is a wonderful event if your child enjoys singing. Campus School is limited to 6 or so students to participate in the event, so I will hold auditions during their normal music class next week. I fully expect it to be a difficult decision! Students will audition in small groups and echo sing “My Country Tis of Thee”. I am listening for matching pitch, “head voice”, good diction, and singing with good posture. Additionally, I will consider conduct and grades from all class, including support. If your child is chosen, they will receive a letter with rehearsal information and a permission form. Students would need to commit to attending rehearsals weekly until November 1st. Rehearsals will be on Mondays after school from 3:00-3:45. Choirfest would take them away from school on the day of the event, so students will be responsible for any work missed. Choirfest will involve rehearsing with the clinician for the majority of the day and a performance at the end of the day. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email me at [email protected]. I am looking forward to this event with Campus School! -Mrs. Erin Johnson Music Teacher Tomorrow (9/5) students have homefun due for all three subjects. Students will turn the homefun assignment in to the teacher who assigned it.
